Photo Gallery - Toby Hill Farm & Holiday Cottage
We hope you like our photo gallery, some of the farm animals, the lovely views and cottage, all taken from around Toby Hill Farm & Holiday Cottage. The family has farmed at Toby Hill and at our other family farms for generations, since around 1920. The land ranges from beautiful heather moorland down to riverside meadows, with many pastures in between, which are grazed by our cows, calves, ewes and lambs. With open fields and meadows just over the garden wall you will soon get acquainted with them all.
We have 3 different flocks of sheep, Swaledales, Mules and Texels, with lambs being born from March until the end of May. The cows are predominantly Limousins and calve at different times of year, so there is always something to keep us busy. Hay and silage from June - August.
We have our sheepdogs of course who are a vital part of our team, sometimes occasionally we may have some new puppies.
